The inaugural CFO Innovation Indonesia Forum was a tremendous success, enjoying a conference room packed with CFOs and senior finance executives from throughout Indonesia.
The strong turnout and enthusiasm of participants reflected the Indonesia’s huge growth potential and demand for new ideas and business solutions.
In Indonesia as in the other of the CFO Innovation Forum Series, a hot topic of discussion was recruitment and retention of finance talent. Demand for talent is intense in Asia in general, because economies continue to grow – yet at the same time, supply of finance talent is limited.
Another common theme at the conference – and for CFOs throughout Asia: the expansion of finance’s remit to include analytics and business partnering, regardless of whether the organisation is a local company or an MNC.
The CFO Innovation Forum series will continue the discussion of these and other topics at its next stop in Singapore on 24-25 June.
