Accelerating Enterprise Transformation with Optimal Strategies, Support, Resources and Tech
"Today, it is imperative for enterprises to deploy up-to-date technologies and solutions to increase competitiveness and enhance operational efficiency. By taking the benefits of digital transformation, enterprises can increase their potential performance and business agility to better serve their customers."
- Mr. Jason Pun, Assistant Government Chief Information Officer (Cyber Security & Digital Identity),
Proactively responding to market factors, enterprises in Hong Kong are embarking on transformation journeys.
Yet, CDOs, tasked with leading enterprises through digitization to continual success, often find themselves distracted from their essential core duties. Managing stakeholder relationships, securing resources and investments, and exploring potentially disruptive but pre-mature technologies are cited as the top contributors to the modest paces of change observed locally.
To speed up the digitization progress, CDOs are redoubling their focus on collaborate with key stakeholders, cultivating internal advocates, reviewing business models and deploying implementation-ready technologies. It is with persistent that they lead their enterprises to achieve their transformative ambition.
Questex Asia’s Chief Digital Officer Innovation Summit running on 21 November 2019, in Hong Kong, will bring together 150+ senior executives from major enterprises of Greater China – to discuss how some of the successful regional CDOs are expediting their digitization efforts and how they have facilitated their organizations’ digital transformation.
Top CDOs from Governments, manufacturing, BFSI, aviation, retail, logistics, and technology firms along with start-up universe will discuss their roles and contributions in shaping the digital journeys of their enterprises.
Who Will Attend
150+ C and C-1 executives from major enterprises from cross-industries in Greater China, from the following profiles:
Transformation Transformation is challenging. CDOs require support from multiple layers within their organizations in order to implement changes to business strategies and processes. From senior management to front line staff members, CDOs need to cultivate a community that fosters innovation and commits to changes. In this keynote, the speaker will share first-hand experiences in cultivating internal advocates to help drive digitization efforts.
In order to successfully transform, enterprises must be committed to changing their business models and processes. CDOs as the master-minds and facilitators of such changes, must achieve stakeholder buy-ins, secure resources for investments, and line-up relevant talents to implement the digital roadmaps that best suit their business objectives and the core capabilities of their enterprises. While many enterprises acknowledge the market pressure to transform, progress to change need to be quickened. What can CDOs do to expedite the transformation of their enterprises? How do CDOs allay the feat of change to convert the unconvinced? How best to ensure the transformation advocates are properly skilled for digitization? With technology advancing constantly, how should CDOs balance between taking time to achieve buy-in and risking the technology going obsolete before being fully implemented?
With the raise of cloud-native applications, enterprises are adopting hybrid cloud in order to enhance functionality and flexibility while adhering to regulatory requirements and keeping critical data on-premise. What systems are best suited for cloud and on-premise respectively? How should the various cloud and on-premise systems be pieced together to maximize efficiency and security?
Enterprises are transitioning from monolithic architecture to microservices, in order to be more nimble, deploy and scale new software quicker, and increase service reliability. APIs are central to microservices and need to be managed appropriately to facilitate networks of networks. This keynote show cases the best practices for microservices architecture design and API management through end-user case studies.
The wealth of customer pools sitting in digital platforms such as Grab and GO-JEK could proof lucrative if monetized correctly. Through embedding the products of enterprises into the customer journeys of such digital platforms, there could be win-win situations for all parties involved. It is however challenging in the course of building innovative products collaboratively. Speed-to-market, IT architecture, communications, and alignment of business objectives are all factors of conflicts. This case study will showcase how the speaker overcomes these challenges and reveal his/her recommendations for other enterprises that are looking into similar eco-system plays.
With consumer preferences continually changing, it is imperative for enterprises to adapt their user experiences swiftly. This presentation will illustrate, through enterprise case studies, how the latest technology could facilitate rapid application deployment while ensuring security through agile testing.
With technological advancements and consumer behavioural changes, opportunities exist for enterprises to create incremental value from existing customers, broaden product offerings to new customer base, and realign core business models to ensure sustainability.
- How should CDOs go about creating changes to business models?
- Between radical opportunistic models and mild adaptation of existing core models, how should CDOs determine the right approach that is uniquely suitable for their enterprises?
- Subscription models, payment models and B2B2C are the latest trends. What opportunities await within each of them and how should CDOs prioritize their focus?
- What are considered great ideas for CDOs? Is ROI the only factor impacting decisions?
Increasingly, enterprises are recognizing the opportunities to monetarize the data that they have collected. Whether it is to analyse big data for better customer profiling and experiences, to identify new revenue streams or to enable better management decision-making, data has vast potential to contribute positively to profitability. In this sessions, CDOs and data experts will explore the fundamentals required, the best practices, and the missed opportunities in monetizing data.
How do you take a 150-year-old company that is comprised of fractious division brand names and cultures, and transform it into a unified, hyper-relevant brand? A design-led vision and a bedrock positioning of how S&P Global delivers Essential Intelligence to its users. Join the speakers as they discuss the launch of a modern-day brand and a completely redesigned digital experience for S&P Global. From a dated and fragmented digital ecosystem to a cohesive, omnichannel experience, the talk will cover how to create a master brand strategy that leverages digital to deliver a more focused value proposition. From there, the conversation will focus specifically on the unique case study of the timely ESG evaluation product launch for S&P Global Ratings, launch that took advantage of the unified brand and completely redesigned digital experience.
Enterprises have made progresses implementing AI-infused robots. Yet, challenge remains in cultivating a digital workforce that effectively integrate human and AI for enhanced efficiency. From change management and ERP perspectives, the speaker will discuss the factors to success, including reengineering of work scope, change of mindsets, and required skillsets for human to work alongside AI colleagues proficiently.
New technologies are available daily. While it is imperative for CDOs to keep up with the latest technologies, this could be time-consuming and distracting from CDOs core duties of transformation. Some CDOs further opt that their roles are to create the most favorable conditions for their companies based on currently available technology, not to create science fiction-like disruptions fueled by venture capitals. With technology showing no sign of slowing, how should CDOs remain focused on transformations without missing out on new technologies? How should CDOs evaluate emerging technologies without losing sight of their transformative goals?
